Dr. Rohith T
Dr. Rohith is a scientist and entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and herbal products. Before entering the commercial sector, he had received both a Master's and a Doctorate degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Mysore. During his 14-year pharmaceutical career, Dr. Rohith received much recognition. His peers regarded him highly as an innovator with very high standards. He was a key member of teams that produced several marketable drugs during that time and for which he specialized in process development and impurity isolation. He also coordinated several successful audits by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Wanting to utilize his talents for safer, more natural products, he started his own laboratory with an esteemed colleague. Deepta Laboratories now formulates plant-based remedies using pharmaceutical techniques. With the experience gained while working in pharma, they have isolated and standardized many unique herbal ingredients. These cutting edge ingredients are used in therapeutic dosages for a wide range of herbal products, focusing on metabolic disorders. Dr. Rohith gives back by training and mentoring young chemists. He has taught over 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervised Analytical Chemistry Ph.D. candidates. Various institutions have sought him out as a lecturer on career development topics as well. When he's not in the lab, lecturing, or writing research papers (he's penned more than ten published studies), Dr. Rohith stays active. He is an avid tennis player and enjoys lifting weights.
